After receiving his BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art for Industrial Design in 2007, Rob relocated to the bay area to join Lunar Design, whose creative expertise in design and engineering have made them a world standard of innovation for over 30 years.
Building on the experience in leadership, creativity and implementation expertise gathered while at Lunar Design, Rob went on as Lead Designer to help build the foundation of a new powerhouse of progressive branding and hardware development, Huge Design.
From Rob’s time at the first days of Huge Design until 2015; the team, projects and practices have seen phenomenal development and accelerated growth leading to numerous design awards, patents and highly successful projects for some of the world’s largest fortune 500 companies and the most promising new startups of Silicon Valley.
Rob continues to consult in San Francisco by teaming up with today’s most forward thinking and influential clients who share in his unique vision, broad experience and nuanced approach.
After graduating from the Cleveland institute of art, Matthew was hired on to work for industrial design and branding consultancy, Fuseproject (San Francisco) supporting and eventually leading programs for clients like General Electric, Nivea and Nixon, under Yves Behar.
Leaving Fuseproject in 2012, Matthew accepted a director level position at industrial design and branding firm, Box Clever, and was responsible for delivering creative vision for such clients as Herman Miller, Microsoft, and multitude of bay area start ups, including AWAY and NEBIA.
In 2015 Matthew left Box Clever to work with X (formerly Google X) exploring, visualizing and developing future technology and design concepts for their design, research and engineering teams.
At California College of the Arts, Matthew has lectured in design communications, sustainability, and crafts for in the undergrad industrial design program.
Ultimately, his goal is to produce work that teaches his students, clients, and end consumer the value of good design.
